In yoga, movement and breath are equal partners in promoting strength, self-awareness, and relaxation. In this class, we work on overall strength and mobility. We build deep core strength through breath and movement to support easeful posture. We also use breath as a relaxation tool.
This class is appropriate for beginners and for those looking to focus on fundamentals. Props are used strategically to maximize the strength-building and relaxing qualities of the poses. Blocks, straps and blankets are all used to make stretching more comfortable, to allow access to deep breathing, and to enhance the stress-relieving potential of the practice.
This class will run on 8 week cycles. Registration here will sign you up for an 8 week session. The session costs $120 ($15/class). You can pay online or pay by check or cash. You can also drop in with cash or venmo for $20/class.
